Make a suncatcher out of hot glue: This is how you design the colorful pendants for the Easter bush

Step 1: Prepare the base
The basis for your suncatchers are large blobs of hot glue that you place on a plate. Make sure that you form nice circles with the hot glue, but of course you can also design your suncatchers in any other shape. For 5 suncatchers you will need about 2-3 hot glue sticks.
Step 2: Decorate the suncatcher
Now you should hurry up a bit before the glue gets too hard. Place tesserae, sequins or beads into the hot glue circles and press them on with a toothpick.
If you want to create glittery suncatchers, you should sprinkle the glitter onto the still very liquid hot glue and mix it lightly with a toothpick. This creates sparkling sun catchers that glitter in the light like little stars.
Reading tips: Other great eye-catchers for your Easter bush are these bird pendants made of modeling clay and these tulip pendants made of paper.
Instead of beads, glitter and mosaic stones, you can also create small works of art with a little watercolor. Simply add a few drops of paint to the still liquid glue or add colorful accents with splashes of paint. This creates great patterns that almost look like little stained glass paintings when they dry.
3rd step: Let it dry
Allow your sparkling works of art to dry thoroughly. It’s better to wait a little longer than too short a time so that the sun catchers don’t break. Then carefully remove the decorated hot glue circles from the plate. Now all you have to do is poke a hole in it using a needle and thread a string through it. Now you can hang your crafted suncatchers on the Easter bush or on your balcony!
Tipp: Don’t have hot glue on hand? No problem! You can also liquid Craft glue 🛒 use as a basis. You can simply put this in the lid of a chip packaging so that your suncatchers get a nice round shape.
Whether using glitter, mosaic, beads or watercolors, hot glue suncatchers are an easy way to add color and light to your Easter bush. Each sun catcher is a small, unique piece that spreads a good mood. Try it out for yourself!
