1. Prepare template
What makes your souvenir in the test tube special is the personal message you write on the glass. If you are confident with freehand writing and drawing, you can safely skip this step. Everyone else prepares a template on paper. To do this, print out a saying in a beautiful font or simply write your greeting on the paper. Small patterns such as stripes, hearts or dots complement your writing perfectly.
2. Push the template into the test tube
Roll up your template slightly and slide it into the jar. The paper opens automatically inside the glass. Make sure everything sits straight so your design doesn’t end up crooked later.
3. Transfer the template to the glass
Now you can trace your template with the fiber pen or decorate your test tube freehand with lovely words and motifs. Use pens in different colors for a particularly colorful result. You should always let the colors dry thoroughly between pen changes.
Tipp: If you use colorful chocolate buttons as the filling, your motif shouldn’t be too bright and delicate, otherwise it won’t be visible so well later.
4. Fill the souvenirs into the test tube
Now you can fill your souvenir in the test tube. Whether it’s the aforementioned chocolate buttons, sweet love beads, little gummy bears or even a rolled-up voucher – you can fill your jar with anything that fits in it! You can also customize the filling to suit the season or a special occasion. Small Easter eggs are perfect for the upcoming Easter, while red heart candies are a great wedding gift.
5. The finishing touches
Seal your souvenir in the test tube with the corresponding cork and decorate the upper end with ribbons, fresh flowers such as roses and gypsophila or stylish dried flowers. Decorated like this, your craft work will be an absolute feast for the eyes!
