Coffee in the morning makes you awake – and creative. If you love the smell of freshly brewed coffee, then simply bring the feeling to the wall. When embroidering latte art, you combine handwork with your passion for cappuccino etc. This creates a decorative embroidery frame that radiates cosiness and gives your kitchen or dining area a personal touch.

Embroider latte art – coffee love in an embroidery frame

When embroidering latte art, you work on beige linen because the natural tone is reminiscent of creamy milk foam. Place a simple coffee cup in the middle and decorate it with a typical latte leaf pattern. The curved leaf with a small heart at the top looks delicate, but with a little patience you can achieve the motif step by step.

Place coffee beans around the cup, which together form a large heart. This makes your picture look harmonious and playful at the same time. You can also add depth to the motif with different shades of brown so that the beans appear lively.

  1. Stretch the beige linen fabric tightly into the embroidery frame so that you can work neatly.
  2. Use the fabric marker to trace the template onto the center of the fabric. Make sure there is enough space in the cup for the bean heart.
  3. First, stitch the outline of the cup using stem stitch with white thread. This gives the motif clear contours.
  4. Fill the inside of the cup loosely with light brown yarn at the edge of the cup to create the impression of coffee.
  5. Now comes the highlight: When embroidering latte art, you work the leaf motif in satin stitch. Start at the bottom with beige yarn and work the stitches upwards in white to create the typical leaf shape and the impression of milk foam. Place a small white heart at the top.
  6. Then embroider the individual coffee beans using a tension stitch or small satin stitches. Arrange them to form a heart around the cup. Vary the shades of brown to make the overall look lively. Embroider the depression in the coffee bean and the outline in dark brown, and fill the bean itself in medium brown.
  7. Finally, carefully remove the markings by washing out the fabric and smoothing it out again.

When embroidering latte art, you can vary things creatively. For example, replace the sheet with a classic heart, a bunny or a bear. Alternatively, instead of embroidering a bean heart, you can embroider small lettering like “Coffee Love” or add gold accents with metallic thread. Several small embroidery frames with different coffee motifs also create a harmonious wall decoration as a gallery. This means your project not only fits in the kitchen, but also in the café corner or as a gift for real coffee fans.
