Craft instructions for Easter decorations

1. Preparation of materials
First cut out the tips of the egg cartons – these will later form the bodies of the Easter bunnies. Trim the tips to the size you want and cut a small zigzag pattern to make it look like a small skirt. Also prepare the wooden discs or cardboard circles that will later represent the heads.
2. Painting the individual parts
You can paint the cardboard tips with acrylic paint in your favorite colors to create the rabbits’ bodies. For a classic look, use simple brown tones. If you want to make a whole family of bunnies and would like it to be a little more colorful, you can also paint the bunnies in different colors.
Also cover the wooden discs or cardboard circles with paint or leave them natural if you like the wooden look. Allow all parts to dry thoroughly before moving on to the next step.
3. Design the face, ears and arms
Use felt-tip pens or acrylic markers to draw the bunnies’ faces on the wooden discs. Draw small eyes, a button nose and a cute mouth. To make the bunny ears, cut the bendable wire to size and shape it into long bunny ear loops. You can attach these to the back of the wooden disc with hot glue. The rabbit’s little arms are also made of wire. Cut two pieces of wire to the appropriate length. Glue a small wooden bead to one end of each wire for the hands. Once the glue has dried, glue the two arms to the sides of the box.
4. Assemble and decorate
Now everything is put together. Glue the painted cardboard pieces to the wooden discs as bodies so that the rabbit has a shape. Add the logs or wooden skewers as stands by gluing them into the cardboard tips. Decorate the bunny with a small bow made of jute ribbon or attach additional details.
5. Present bunny flower studs made from egg carton
You can place the DIY Easter bunnies on the dining table, in flower pots or in Easter baskets to give your home a spring-like touch.
Et voilà, your homemade egg carton bunny flower plugs are ready! Enjoy time with family and friends as you get creative together. The sweet bunnies bring joy to every home and are also sustainable. Happy Easter and a sunny start to spring!
